Punctuation And Grammar

What are the various thoughts out there on punctuation and grammar? Do you follow the classical style by capitalizing each line and making sure you add the commas, or is that just the frills on your poetry? Tell me what you think.

I`ve just discovered the forum and seem to be the first to post.(For once in my life!) I read a lot of contemporary Scottish poets(being from Glasgow, y`see), but probably my biggest influences are Jack Gilbert, Bukowski, TS Eliot, Larkin and Dylan Thoma
