Why do we press harder on a remote control when we know the batteries are getting weak?
Why is it that whenever you attempt to catch something that's falling off the table you always manage to knock something else over?
How many gifts would you receive if you received all of the gifts in the song "The Twelve Days of Christmas?

In your haste to catch the falling object you put all your gracefulness away and go all out in trying to catch the object. if your lucky you might catch both. one time I was at a restaurant with my family. I was sitting at head (or foot) of the table, and the waiter put our water with one on each corner. the person on my left moved the water because she knew I'd knock it over (I'm remarkably clumsy). about a half hour later I turned towards the person on my right to tell him to try whatever dish it was that I was eating. in my haste, I knocked over that water (he hadn't forseen my clumsiness). luckily I was able to catch it, though I knocked his fork to the ground. : )

There's supposed to be a shortcut to figuring out that question. Unfortunately, I am not any sort of a mathematician, nor ever will I be, and so I do not know it ( nor shall I ever care enough to calculate the slower way, at any rate ). 42.
Just What Makes A Poet?
~~ Just what makes one a poet, are they taught from when a child?~~ Or is it perhaps, much deeper, from their heart and soul inside?~~ And truly, are there rules to follow, or does one write what comes to mind?~~ Is the language barrier all that thick, or does it go far beyond minds eye?~~ Just what makes one a poet, please, your genuine reply~~ Is a poet just simply a writer that leaves one to ponder “Oh, my”?

It's like we are willing the remote to work. I never realized I did this until I read this, and now I notice it all the time (which can be annoying).
