Wow. I'm truly impressed, and astounded. Emotionally, this is one of the best short prose pieces I've ever read. Honestly, the lack of specificity when it comes to the protagonist's name lends itself even more to the story, because this could be about anyone -- a mother, a sister, a lover, anyone we hold dear. A very moving piece. Bravo.
I love this poem. It's very touching. I escpecially love that at the end the reader is given just a hint of something greater being there throughout it all yet still leaves room some for speculation.
