Wow. That was really incredible. I really liked the first two stanzas. The whole poem was deep. Certain parts I read over again, seeing more to the words each time I read them. Amazing.

i'm likely to think now that janus is a stalker or something of that sort...but the subsequent lines suggests a figuratively profound and enigmatic character....the poem will make the readers dig deeper. great piece, dude.

Grateful thanks to everyone. I don`t know if I am allowed to advertise this, but both "Janus" and "The Prisoners" are from my first collection of poetry, "Glasgow Kisses", which is available here-

Honestly..the brilliance of some modern writers really creeps me out. This piece, like the other one, is (for lack of better word...)...AWESOME. =D I'll tell you which parts I loved... "lingers like the taste of broken glass on a lifeless morning after" "And I know this of rivals and of death, they are intransigent as old love and survive a brief forever." (emphasis on the "brief forever"; loved that bit) You are an amazing writer, really. Never ever let your talent die!! Love always moi PS. Again, crazy imagery. =)
