I liked the idea of how you built up the picture within the poem. There's a poet I found a book of, her name is Doris Mary Alford. I don't think she was a really famous but if you can get hold of her collection called The Snow Upon the Hearth, I think her writing is similar and may give you some inspiration.

The ending was like reeeeaaallly good but it didn't really connect with the beginning, I mean I know it did but Idk it just didnt really feel like a whole poem to me. But still good :)
