Out Of My Comfort Zone

Out Of My Comfort Zone

Walk away from this world,
from what I know,
Close my eyes and pretend,
don't let the emotions show,
Under the streetlamp,
I still can't see anything,
Who should I call,
would they hear the phone ring,
A man in the distance,
he's walking my way,
They told me to run,
but I think I might stay,
Is this what we've come to,
running from home,
From sitting in corners,
feeling alone,
A glance up the side walk,
where did he go,
A few steps towards him,
taking it slow,
From here I can smell it,
whisky and weed,
Frail in the darkness,
his hand reaches forwards,
The shaking goes to show,
he's one of them drunkards,
I know I could join them,
would it be so bad,
He shoved something at me,
I think he's raving mad,
Don't look at him now, what have I done,
His hands in his pocket,
he pulls out a gun,
My hearts like a hammer,
He asks me my age,
I try to reply, it's only a stammer,
car lights ahead, thank gods its over,
shit they passed by,
the gun comes even closer,
the metal is warm,
I know her means harm,
A click of the trigger,
He pulls it with vigour.
