The sea was still and the skies were clear,
Amongst the ocean, my sorrow was just a tear.
I sat there when I felt sad
And dwelled over the worries I had.
Because here my troubles felt insignificant,
Twixt the world, I was just a lad.
Sometimes it’s better to look at it all,
To make you realize that it’s all so small.
Your problems are, and so are you,
Sometimes being humbled is the perfect clue.
To the world we’re just a speck of sand,
Similar to the thousands, that were on my hand.
As I sat there on the beach, I smiled
And waved goodbye to the troubled child.
